Communication

In a business environment communication is important because it is a way to share your thoughts with others. Without effective communication it would be difficult to collaborate and make connections. 

Problem Solving

Problem solving is important because in a business it helps to recover from past experiences. As well as helping with taking on any task no matter the difficulty to be successful.

Creating New Opportunities

To be able to create new opportunities in a business is important to keep it from going stagnant economically. In addition creating new opportunities for oneself can help to grow the individual as well as let them succeed in different career paths.

Leading

As a businessperson it is important to be a leader to help yourself and others reach a common goal. Without a leader with a vision in mind people would be all over the place in terms of objectives.

Managing

Managing goes hand in hand with leading. In a business some people will need direction and it is important there is someone they can go to for these problems. In addition big projects will need to be comfortably led to be successful.

Working With Others

Working with others is a vital skill to have because it is very unlikely that there will be a job that doesn't involve other people. Being able to make connections with others is one of the most important aspects of business because it keeps them coming back to you and helps you grow as a person.

Acting Ethically

Acting ethically is arguably the most important skill to have as a businessperson. Without it you or your company will gain no respect or integrity, two things essential for being successful. Please see below a video that helped me learn more about the competency.
